Concerning our conversion to TENEX:

	1. It is going to be quite expensive in programming manpower
to get display service, device service and other goodies converted.
We woould hire some extra help if there were money.

	2. Gorin has been discussing with D.E.C. their new version of
TENEX called VIROS.  He wants to convert to it, because this is the
target system for the KL-10.  It has some efficiency advantages over
present TENEX according to D.E.C.

	3. Let me remind you that according to agreement with you
I have hired Martin Frost to make improvements in APE and make
PUB TENEX usable and to improve it.  He has been exploring the
possibility of using the DATA-Computer, but apparently its facilities
for being used by programs at other places (as opposed to being used
from terminals) is not yet implemented.  If you intend to renege on
your intention to pay extra for this, tell me now.

	4. Gorin tells me that we won't have our full proposals on
TENEX ready by the February meeting.

	5. I shall be away from Thursday until 1 January visiting Fredkin's
island.
